Joey Martinez, a short, stocky guy of Mexican descent, always collected junk. He and his family lived in Milwaukee in one of the abandoned neighborhoods. His favorite thing to do was go into old houses and take old knick knacks that were left over from before the apocalypse. He would collect things made of metal, glass, plastic- basically anything that he could fit into his wagon and put into his fort. Now that Joey is older, he has made a business out of his junk. Obviously since material goods, unless they have a functional purpose, are useless, Joey’s business isn’t very successful. The only people interesting in what Joey has typically are craftsmen, but they have other resources. Joey is convinced that one day, all of his junk will be useful. He has a stall at the Santiago Calatrava Bazaar, but he keeps most of his junk well protected and hidden somewhere in the woods near Lake Michigan. Joey also tends to attract attention from pirates. They usually stop and his stall, and ask if he has anything better. Joey does, but the best stuff he won’t sell. Joey is such a pleasant guy, no one questions him further, and they usually move on. Plus, they don’t know what he’s hiding under that tattered hoodie he wears. Every morning, Joey takes a select few pieces of his stuff based on what he sold the day before, and makes his way to his stall. People usually just pass him by, but you never know what kind of treasures Joey will have on hand.
